Mr Moet and Audacious Spirit lead our Weekend Rewind



MISTER MISTER
MR MOET (26: 12-5-2) won his 12th career race by pulling off the victory in the $225,000 G2 CB Cox Stakes at Ascot on Saturday. The win over stable-mate CHESTER ROAD, pushed the 5yo to just under $1.3 million in career earnings.

SPIRITS HIGH
AUDACIOUS SPIRIT (25: 6-4-6) won the $200,000 Lough Neagh Stakes at Doomben on Saturday, winning by a half a neck over MORNING CAPTAIN. The 1350m win was the longest in the 5yo gelding’s 25-race career. Audacious Spirit is slated for the 1400m Goldmarket Handicap on Gold Coast on New Year’s Day.


BAKER TOP-TWO
The top two finishers of the $250,000 Inglis Nursery were out of Bjorn Baker’s stable, with TWILIGHT ROYALE winning the 2yo, set-weight, race over FUERZA. They were the only two horses from the Baker stable at Warwick Farm.

TOP PRIZE BY A NOSE
ALL LEGAL won by a nose over ALMA’S FURY to win the $175,00 G2 Villiers Stakes over 1600m. It was All Legal’s first win of that distance since January, 2011, a streak that saw him finish last, 11th, seventh and second after his Randwick victory on 29 January 2011.

QUARTET FOR TREICHEL
Jockey Terry Treichel (left) won the first four races at Moree, one of three jockey quartets over the weekend. He opened up his Saturday with a two-length victory on MOUNT ANNAN over 1300m, before winning over 900m for the first victory for RASANKA. He won by a head with OLD JIMMY before closing out his day with a win aboard TARA BRAVE.

THE RIGHT LANE
Apprentice jockey Damian Lane pulled off four wins on Sunday at Bunbury, winning by a nose on GO KEN to start his day, before winning three-straight later. It was another close victory aboard FRIARS SPIRIT, this time by one half of a head, before he closed out his winning day aboard BUS STOP and JUST HOPING.

STELLAR SUNDAY FOR ROFF
Jockey Peter Roff won four of the eight races at Port Lincoln on Sunday, opening up his day with a blow-out win of six-lengths for EXTREME VALUE’s maiden victory. He then rode MONTALTO to a narrow victory, before winning by less than a length in back-to-back races aboard SEEARDI BLUE  and IMAGE MASTER for the four-win day.

HOT RUNNINGS
HEART TESTA opened up Warwick Farm with his fourth-straight win... Anthony Freedman-trained BENENDEN (7: 4-1-0) has won four of his last five, following a 1420m win at Flemington, while YOU THINK SO (NZ) (18: 6-5-3) has won three-straight following a 2520m win at Flemington... GEIGER RIO (13: 3-5-4) has now placed in his last nine races after an 1100m win at Ascot...  MEGA QUEEN (6: 4-0-0) after Saturday’s 1250m victory has won another two straight after a win at Morphettville Parks, giving her four wins in six tries... DELAGO PILLI (29: 7-3-3) has now won three-straight following a 1350m win at Doomben. Also at Doomben, I’M COOL (5: 4-1-0) continued a strong start to his career with his fourth win in five races... NO WIN NO WINE (8: 4-1-0) was one half of a double for jockey Jim Byrne at Sunshine Coast, as the mare won her third-straight race...  TYPHOON RED (10: 6-0-2) was part of a treble for Nozi Tomizawa at Toowoomba, his third-straight win and sixth in 10 career races... Dating back to September, Darwin-based LADUNI has finished first or second in six-straight after a close victory over fellow stable mate, HANGAR SEVEN, also trained by Gary Clarke. It was one half of a double for jockey Ms. Simone Montgomerie at Darwin... BEL PRICE won her fourth in a row, winning over 1100m at Hobart for her fifth win in nine career races. It was one of two wins for jockey Jason Maskiell... CROWN WEST has now won five times in 10 career starts after her second-straight 1200m at Geraldton... WARWARICK has won two-straight and placed in her last last seven after a 2200m win at Ballarat... PANKO has won three-straight following a 1900m win at Canterbury... DIVINE INFLUENCE has won three-straight after a win at Kembla Grange. The third win in five career races.
